Guidelines
for Mississippi AA Area Website
Purpose
The
purpose of the Mississippi Area Web Site is to make information for
meetings of Alcoholics Anonymous throughout the state of Mississippi
more readily available to those seeking a meeting. All information on
this site is provided solely for the purpose of helping the alcoholic
to make direct, face-to-face contact with A.A. The web site will
present information that is only available publicly concerning meetings
of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Ownership
This
web site, the registered web name (http://aa-mississippi.org and
http://www.aa-mississippi.org) and all software associated with the
development and maintenance of this site are property of the
Mississippi Area Assembly. All registrations of these addresses are in
the name of the Mississippi Area Assembly. In keeping with Tradition
Seven of the Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous, the Mississippi
Area Assembly pays all fees and expenses associated with this site.
Content
Information
contained on this site is provided by the various groups and districts
within Area 37 and the State of Mississippi and these groups and
districts are responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of this
information. Any group information may be submitted, changed or removed
from this web site by the G.S.R. or D.C.M. submitting the necessary
information to the Area Web Committee via e-mail by clicking the icon
at the bottom of this page or by sending the information to the
committee chairperson’s regular mailing address as shown in the Area
Roster. No telephone numbers will be listed except for answering
service or intergroup telephone numbers. The only e-mail addresses that
will be listed on the Area Web Site will be the Web Committee chairman
address which will be used solely for notification of incorrect
information contained on the site, and e-mail addresses for central
offices and intergroups that wish to be listed. The sole purpose for
any information provided is to enable the individual to make contact
with meetings in a particular locale. No individual names will be
provided anywhere on the site. The guidelines for the Mississippi Area
Web Site will be posted on the Web Site through a link.

from this site are provided only to the General Service Office of
Alcoholics Anonymous web site, other "official" Delegate Area web
sites, and sites established, maintained and officially adopted by
groups and/or districts within the State of Mississippi. Recognizing
the autonomy of individual groups and districts and because the
Mississippi Area Assembly cannot control the content of links other
than this site, the Assembly claims no responsibility for the content
of these sites and does not recognize, recommend or endorse any
particular site listed here nor is the Mississippi Area Assembly
affiliated with any site included on these sites. These links are
provided solely to make available more detailed information for
Alcoholics Anonymous activities within a particular location.

The
Mississippi Area Assembly web site nor any information contained herein
should be used for any purposes other than to make face-to-face contact
more readily available with A.A. groups within the State is
Mississippi. This site will not be used to establish any sort of e-mail
or chat meetings or contacts that lead to similar on-line activities.
Events Calendar
Due
to the difficulty in determining the content and/or sponsorship of
roundups and conventions and in order to avoid the appearance of
endorsement or affiliation with any outside entities or activities, the
Mississippi Area Assembly web site "Area Events Calendar" will list
only events directly related to the Mississippi Area Assembly. The only
items listed on this calendar will be dates, locations and information
regarding Area Assembly meetings, Area workshops, the annual Area
Convention, the Southeast Regional Conference and the biannual
Southeast Region Forum.
